Christmas Recipe: Raw Nut Nog

Spice up this Christmas with a healthy and scrumptious holiday treat from raw food Chef Pam Nectar, head chef and co-founder of Aadii Center for Enlightened Healing in Sedona.

 

In a vitamix blend until smooth…

2 cups almonds  (pre soak for at least 1 hr)

1 cup macadamia nuts (no need for soaking)

2 cups coconut meat (dried, shredded, fresh, whatever you have will be perfect!)

(Optional Step – Strain nut and coconut mylk in a nut mylk bag before you add the following and continue blending)

1/2 banana

1/4 cup molasses

1/4 cup honey

1 vanilla bean (slice open pod and take only the inner seeds)

1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Fresh nutmeg on top!

Rum – totally optional.

 

 

Fill with water and blend.

TIP: at first only 1/2 fill vitamix with water, then add water to desired consistency.

Always adjust to desired sweetness.
