The Language of Light

By:  Mariko Yamamoto

God speaks to us in poetry. This rhythmic verse may not only come through words, phrases and stanzas, but through the “Language of Light.”

As children, we are often much more open and in touch with this natural language, which does not belong to only a few, but to each and everyone of us.

In truth, this language is Universal.

From an early age, I would “see” this language of light around people, places and things. This light would vary in color, brightness, size, shape, texture, density and intensity. This light would shift, change and move with people, their emotions, moods, mindsets, circumstances, conditions and situations. For instance, a seemingly anxious woman standing in line at the post office was cloaked in a muddy gray light and it appeared to break up in many places.

A brilliant bright blue light swirled around a baby and her mother. And, as the mother kissed her child, the light that surrounded both of them expanded in all directions and grew into full brilliance.

A fluorescent yellow showed up around the belly of a dog who had not eliminated for a few days. Witnessing this language, directly informed me of the state of each of their experiences. This light would not only appear in color, but in symbols as well, from simple, basic shapes to the most intricate and dimensional forms.

What I have noticed over the past few years, is that these “symbols” have shown up quite more frequently on a daily basis as well as during each of the sessions I offer with people, pets and places. They are not just a set of reoccurring symbols such as a triangle or circle, but often shown up as full length “movies,” unique to each individual and situation. Even if these symbols often do not make perfect sense to the conscious mind, they appear to be specific patterns of light/information/frequency/resonance that the Universe wishes to call forth for transformation, balance, harmony and peace.

For instance, in a session with a woman who was carrying a deep sense of loss, geometric symbols were showered upon her in sacred waters that carried the distinct scent of herbs. Little did I know at the time that this was the unique way she had honored the passing of her beloved pet, by washing and blessing him in the healing waters of herbs. With receiving this blessing of light and information in just this particular way, she knew deeply that this was a way of coming full circle, which created an opening for her to surrender to her grief and receive the healing she needed to move forward in her life.

We can continue to open more and more fully to this language of light, because it is the language most natural to us, as it is the very Light of who we are. It is part of the wondrous journey of sacred remembrance and discovering of the ways the Universe communes and converses with us, through both the visible and invisible realms.

I believe that the original practitioners of Feng Shui and Reiki as well as other healing modalities were directly in touch with this language. These energetic signatures were an eternal gift through the Supreme Consciousness to humanity and the planet. As time unfolded and humanity became more in resonance with energy being expressed through the “physical,” it somehow seemed more necessary as in Feng Shui, to place actual material objects such as stones, chimes and water features in our external environment in order for shifts to occur or hold.

What I am finding now is that the more we can remember the state of our true nature as Spiritual Beings and Pure Awareness, shifts can be experienced taking place instantly. For instance, when I am on the land and the language of light shows up as a “bridge,” it may not be necessary for an actual bridge to be built. The bridge just happens to be the way that the particular frequency wishes to show itself.

Being present and a witness to this frequency is often enough for profound shifts to occur. Do not fear as our present conditions and structures as we have known them may appear to be collapsing on many levels, both individually and planetary. Structure is really information and awareness in form.

As structures appear to break down or “wash away,” it can be doors opening to being less attached to things, belief systems and identities and a returning to a place of remembrance, simplicity and being in resonance with our true essence, our pure awareness and bodies of light.

Being in relationship with the light of who we are opens the space for magic and transformation. Be as the heart of a child.

If you are visual, ask to see with fresh eyes. If you are kinesthetic, allow your hand or body to spontaneously move with freedom and delight. If you have a keen sense of listening, ask to hear in a way you’ve never heard before. Ask to know without doubt and fear. Trust your internal and eternal rhythms and allow the universal Language of Light to inform you.
